Summer time = lots of opportunities to day drink. If your party beverage of choice hasn’t been updated since you discovered jungle juice in a plastic tub, it might be time. Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with easy, go-to cocktails for all your summer festivities.
With a warehouse full of pop (‘soda’ for all you non-midwesterners) and tons of drinking experience, we decided to try our hand at combining these two passions. We’ve used a few of our most popular flavors with ingredients you likely already have at home to create some pretty dope summer cocktails. Your friends will be impressed when they think you’ve stepped up your pregaming, but your secret is safe with us. Cheers!
2 oz bourbon
3 oz black cherry soda
Squeeze of fresh lime
Dash of nutmeg
In a rocks glass, combine all ingredients. Shake it like you've got a tambourine solo at the next hip music festival.
2 oz gin
3 oz ginger beer
Fresh lime juice to taste
In a rocks glass, combine the basil leaf and the simple syrup and muddle to release the flavors. Add ice and remaining ingredients and either shake or stir depending on your preference. No offense to 007, but we prefer it over ice.
3 oz vodka
2 oz blue raspberry soda
1 ounce grenadine
Fill a rocks glass with ice. Layer the bottom of the glass with grenadine. If you want to get fancy, you can layer the vodka, followed by the soda, using a spoon. Or, just shake it all together into a tasty purple mess.
Tea of choice
Brew your tea of choice (this tastes bomb with most teas, especially Black, Green and Earl Grey) and leave it to cool in the fridge for at least an hour. Patience is a virtue. Then mix equal parts tea and ginger beer for an afternoon delight appropriate for all.
